I hadn't read any South American crime writing before this challenge, but I'd love to read some more, especially as I spent 4 months in South America in 2007/2008, so have visited several of the places that feature in such novels (e.g. Rio, La Paz, etc).Kiwicraighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11687089028299093360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1591679994751212734.post-56057380535108281382010-05-07T19:43:58.746+12:002010-05-07T19:43:58.746+12:00Congratulations Craig. From your list I have only one book from Garcia Roza in my TBR and I'm interested in the second Micheal Stanley book. I thought the Stav Sherez book was very atmospheric of Greece (and those insects - ugh!).

Although I tend to read books in a wide variety of settings anyway I think the challenge has prompted me to make some more deliberate choices. I had not sought out any South American crime fiction before and I'm currently reading my first crime novel set in India so it certainly has expanded my reading which is something I very much enjoy.Bernadettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07641617609801125707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1591679994751212734.post-76792415549305436052010-05-07T10:37:14.634+12:002010-05-07T10:37:14.634+12:00Craig - I'm very impressed! Tony Hillerman happens to be a favorite author of mine, so I'm particularly glad you chose one of his novels. I'm participating in the challenge, too, but so far, not all the way through. I'm having the kind of year work-wise where the Expert level would have been a bit much. So I'm sticking to the Easy level. So far, I'm halfway through, and I've read books from Australia, South America and Europe.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
