Reminder: international author Gregg Hurwitz at events in Auckland today

As noted last month, US thriller writer Gregg Hurwitz is in New Zealand for a lightning visit today and tomorrow, on the way to his appearance at the Brisbane Writers Festival. So Kiwis in the Auckland area have a chance to meet him today, while our Aussies cousins in Queensland have their turn soon as well.

Hurwitz is a Shakespearian scholar, thriller writer, screenwriter, and graphic novellist. He was a college athlete at both Harvard and Oxford, grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and now lives in LA, has taught and guest lectured at USC and UCLA, and has had his thrillers nominated/shortlisted for both the International Thriller Writers award, and the CWA Ian Fleming Steel Dagger

He is touring in support of his latest thriller, OR SHE DIES, and will be visiting Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch today and tomorrow (7 and 8 September 2009). He has two Auckland events that the public can attend today:

12.00 – 1.00pm: Takapuna Library

2.30 – 3.30pm: Botany Library

You can read more about Gregg Hurwitz at: http://www.gregghurwitz.net/
Hope to see a decent crowd at the Takapuna event (which I will be attending) - there were good numbers for both Linwood Barclay and Tom Rob Smith in the past couple of months. I will post a 'report' on the event later this week, with some quotes and stories from Gregg Hurwitz (similar to the Tom Rob Smith report last month), who I may be having lunch with afterwards, thanks to his NZ publicist.
