Nesbo in New Zealand!

Uber-cool Norwegian crime writer Jo Nesbo kickstarts his New Zealand tour today, with a book signing at Whitcoulls Queen Street in Auckland at 12.30pm. But if you can't make it there, never fear, as there are several opportunities to meet one of the world's best crime writers over the coming week, across the country.

Nesbo will be  in conversation with my fellow Ngaio Marsh Award judge Graham Beattie at 6pm at the Rialto Theatre in Newmarket, Auckland tonight, followed by book signing then a screening of "Headhunters", a film adapted from Nesbo's standalone art heist thriller. Tomorrow Nesbo heads to Christchurch, then Wanaka on Thursday, before completing his tour with events in Wellington on Saturday.

Nesbo is touring in connection with the release of his latest Harry Hole novel, PHANTOM, and the cinematic release of "Headhunters". Hopefully crime fiction fans across the country will pack out his events.

As a taster, you can read my recent feature on Nesbo in the New Zealand Listener here.

You can see full details of Nesbo's New Zealand itinerary here.

Have you read any of Nesbo's novels? Will you be going to one of the events?
