Just a quick reminder that highly acclaimed Kiwi crime writer Paul Thomas (THE IHAKA TRILOGY, DEATH ON DEMAND) will be speaking at an event at the Takapuna Library on Auckland's North Shore on Monday night, continuing what will be a busy month of book events for Thomas, who has returned to the genre after a decade-long absence, and local crime writing in general.
Here are the event details, from the North Shore Libraries website:
Author Talk: Paul Thomas
Award-winning author Paul Thomas will talk with Craig Sisterson about his fascination for crime fiction and his latest book, DEATH ON DEMAND
Monday 5 March 2012 6.00pm

DEATH ON DEMAND is the follow-up story to the successful THE IHAKA TRILOGY. The story of Maori cop Tito Ihaka continues five years after his exile from Auckland as a result of a mishandled case. New details emerge about this case that prompt Ihaka's sudden return to Auckland’s criminal investigation scene.
Admission is $5, or $2 for Friends of the Library. Light refreshments will be offered at 6.00pm, followed by the author talk at 6.30pm. There will be an opportunity for book signing, courtesy of Paper Plus. Bookings are highly recommended.
Please RSVP to Helen Woodhouse, Ph: 09 486 8469
