Murder in the Library - Dunedin - 11 May
The Ngaio Marsh Awards, in association with Dunedin Public Libraries and the Centre for Irish and Scottish Studies at the University of Otago (CISS), invites local booklovers to a thrilling event featuring four talented crime writers.
2016 Ngaio Marsh Award entrant Jane Woodham will be joined by prior Ngaio Marsh Award finalists Paddy Richardson and Vanda Symon, and visiting author Matt McGuire. The panel will discuss how setting and social issues can be explored through page-turning crime tales, what drew them to crime writing, and all things noir. 2014 Ngaio Marsh Award winner Liam McIlvanney of the CISS will alternately fire tough questions at the panel, and attempt to keep the peace.
